The Citi Bank World Money card is a Prepaid Dollar/Euro/GBP denominated Card that can be used for electronic Transactions ('Swiping on EDC machine') at Point Of Sale terminals as well as for Cash Withdrawals at ATMs, in the local currency. (E.g.: in Japan the ATM will dispense Yen)
The Citibank World Money card is accepted at over 13 Million Merchant Establishments in 130 countries around the world that display the Visa electron logo. The Card can also be used to withdraw cash in local currency of the country the employee is in. He has to simply walk in to any of 850,000 ATMs around the world that display the VISA logo.
Minimum Purchase value of the Card is US$/Euro/GBP 250 and Maximum Purchase Value is US$/Euro/GBP 10,000 (at one time).
Reload your CWM Card: This is available while you are traveling abroad and require additional funds or for your next trip abroad. Your company can reload/top up the Card on your behalf. Note: Reloads may be done only for a minimum value of $250/ Euro 250/ GBP 250.
Multiple Cards: A card member may at any point of time hold only 1 valid Citibank World Money card of a particular currency. Therefore if you purchase more than one card of the same currency, the system is equipped to identify the same and automatically cancel the earlier card that you were holding. Thus only the latest card purchased by you will be active at any given point in time.
How to get my Citibank World Money Card?
1. The Citibank World Money Card will be provided to all employees traveling for more than 1 month abroad, by the Travel Department.
2. Fill up a Citibank World Money Application and collect your Welcome Pack (CWM Card & ATM PIN Mailer and other relevant information enclosed within)
3. The card will be issued in an inactive state i.e. Zero Value. You are advised to
commence usage of the card after email confirmation from your Travel Department.
4. Please note the USD/Euro/GBP World Money Card should be used in US, European Union and UK respectively, to avoid Foreign Exchange Conversion Rates.
Using my World Money Card - At the Visa/Visa Plus ATM
Locating a Visa/Visa Plus ATM
You can use your CWM Card at any ATM that has the Visa/Visa Plus Logo. In most countries Visa/Visa Plus ATMs are easily accessible 24/7.
However incase you wish to locate a Visa ATM close to you can refer the VISA International Web page at http://www.visa-asia.com/tips/atm_usage.shtml and access the link to the VISA ATM locator.
Points to remember while transacting at an ATM
a. Please ensure the 'Credit Option' is selected on the ATM during a Cash Withdrawal or Balance Enquiry.
b. ATMS have Withdrawal Limits - Withdrawals are subject to the daily transaction limits set by the Banks abroad. You may have to use another ATM (by another Bank) for Cash Withdrawals if you reach the limit at the first ATM
c. The ATM Fee per transaction at any Visa/Visa Plus ATM is USD 2/Euro 2/GBP 1. (In certain countries Banks are allowed to charge additional Acquirer Charges over and above the above mentioned ATM Withdrawal Fee.)
Using my World Money Card - At the Visa Electron Merchant Establishments
1. You can also use your CWM Card at 13.5 Million Visa Electron Merchant
establishments such as Restaurants, Malls, Shops, and Hotels around the World.
2. Points to remember while using your CWM Card at a Merchant
a. Merchant "Physically Swipes"your CWM Card on the EDC (Electronic Data Capture) machine provided by their Bank for accepting Credit Cards to get an Approval.
b. Merchant selects the 'Credit Sale' option on the EDC Machine.
c. Offline Charges i.e. Manual Keypad entry of CWM Card Number, Telebookings (for Hotel/Car Rental/Airline Tickets, etc) & Internet Charges WILL NOT be
authorized/approved by Citibank.)
What is a check swipe?
A check swipe is when the merchant or the company checks the validity & limit on your card by swiping the card. This is test swipe.
At the Time of final billing, a second swipe is done to debit the actual bill amount. One must ensure that all such 'Test swipes', like the first, are cancelled. This is done by the merchant by swiping again and cancels the previous Swipe. Kindly ensure this is done. If you fail to do this, the said funds will be blocked from your Card A/c for upto 21 days. Use only to settle final bill.

How many digits is the APIN? Can it be changed?
The APIN is always 4 digits. It cannot be changed
What if I forget my ATM PIN while traveling?
It is very important not to forget the APIN. However, in such an instance you can call CitiPhone (Toll Free List), India, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for assistance. CitiPhone will issue the APIN mailer to the Temporary Address abroad that you provide them with.
What is a Telephone PIN (TPIN)?
The TPIN is a 4-digit code that you are provided, to authorize all your communication with CitiPhone. It must be used for any information / assistance on your Citibank World Money Card. It is important that you call CitiPhone, after the card is activated and obtain this PIN Number, to prevent any fraudulent activity on your card. Please note: Citiphone will accept no instructions from you in the absence of this code.
What is an HPIN? And how do I get one?
An HPIN is an alphanumeric code that is used to login to their World Money Card Account via the Internet. The cardholder by can generate this by logging on to
www.citibank.co.in and following the steps outlined in "View your Statements and Balances Online"(given below).

Step 1 - Open your web Browser and Type / Copy the following

Step 2 - On the top half of the Browser you will see a space stating "Don't have Internet Password?"Click on it.
Step 3 - A new window will pop up. Please go to the section "How to get it"
Step 4 - Go to "Citibank credit card", select the option "Have ATM PIN".
Step 5 - A new Screen will open up. Go to the section "How to get it"

Step 6 - A New Window will pop up.
Step 7 - Enter you "Card No"and "ATM Pin"in the spaces provided and press submit.
Step 8 - You will be prompted to select a HPIN which you can use to login to yours CWM Card Account
Loss of World Money Card
Who should I contact if my card is lost or stolen?
You should call CitiPhone, India (Toll Free Numbers)immediately to report the loss of your Citibank World Money Card. It is important to note that a lost card report will be taken only after verification of your T-PIN.
Who should I contact for my replacement card? Is
there a charge for replacement?
You should call Citiphone, India to request for a replacement card. CitiPhone can be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and will send you a replacement card within 72 hours. The card will be sent to you, provided, the balance on the card is not less than $15 (applicable replacement and courier charges will be debited to your card account).
If you are traveling, you can request for the replacement card to be sent to your current location abroad. However, this will be done only after CitiPhone
Authenticates your identity. Replacement cards will be sent only to those locations that are serviced by our regular couriers. These locations may change from time to time. Please Note: Iraq and Somalia are not currently serviced by our couriers. There is a charge for replacement of the card (refer the 'Schedule of Charges'). Additional courier charges will be levied if the card needs to be sent overseas.
What will be my liability if I lose my Citibank World Money Card?
You will not be liable for transactions on your card account (if any) from the moment you report your loss. You will, however, be accountable for all damages incurred as a result of transactions made prior to reporting your loss.
How fast can I receive my replacement card from Citibank?
Worldwide card replacement is made within 72 hours.

What happens to the balance on the card when I return from my trip abroad?
If the balance on your card is below $2000 or equivalent, you can choose to retain the same on your card for any future travel. If, however, the balance is $2000 or more, as per RBI regulations, you must surrender the amount within 90 days of your return. The bank will deactivate all Citibank World Money Cards that have a balance of $2000 or more, which haven't been used for a period of 6 months consecutively
